Believe it or not, you can save by managing your closet. There are individuals who believe because their closet is a walk-in closet; they must fill it with clothes and shoes. I ask you, are you managing your money or is the closet seducing you into spending by trying to fill it up? There are also individuals whose closets are full with clothes that fit, garments too small and items too big. Take a look in the mirror, is your weight really going up and down or have it been the same for over a year. If you have clothes that are just sitting in your closet, consider selling them or at the very least, donating them to someone who would appreciate the gesture.
Life is a precious thing, why not consider getting rid of clothes you don’t wear. Roundup a dollar or two or more, consider a private closet sell; make a party out of it. Another idea could be to get family and or friends together to join in a big “clothing sale”; what you do with the proceeds is up to you. Clothes rotting in a closet have no benefit; clothes circulating to individuals who would wear them makes a difference in someone’s life. Keep your closet fluid… when new clothes come in…swap them for older garments; find a measurable inventory that you will use often within a year. A dollar here, a dollar there; a strategy that adds to savings can make a difference. A good gesture can also go a long way in another person’s life. Remember one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
